Urgent Humanitarian Appeal
SUPPORT GAZA
For the past 6 days, people in Gaza have been subjected to an intensive escalating Israeli military offensive that is leading to another major humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine. This offensive, has dramatically intensified the ongoing siege, systematic infrastructure destruction, the acute shortage of fuel, food especially milk for children, winter clothing, medicine, medical supplies, water and electricity. The aggression is targeting the most densely populated area in the world, with a population of around 1.6 million.
The Welfare Association (WA) team in the Gaza Strip is on the ground supporting emergency needs. Up-to-date (Monday 19th; 12:30 noon), the offensive has resulted in the killing of more than 88 persons, out of which 20 are children, 5 are women (one pregnant), and more than 700 injured; majority are innocent children (150) and women (70), … and numbers are rising by the hour.
Your contribution will help meet the critical arising needs in Gaza, as WA will focus on the following urgent items:
1. Fuel for hospitals and ambulances (800,000 USD)
2. Food packages for affected families (800,000 USD)
3. Milk for infants and young children (500,000 USD)
4. Blankets and winter clothes (800,000 USD)
5. Window plastic covers and duct tape for damaged houses and schools (100,000 USD)
