Dear friends, partners, and Taawon’s supporters
We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued, faithful, and generous support to our projects and campaigns, and we are looking forward to your participation in our new campaign Share the Goodness of the Holy Month of Ramadan which aims to Enhance the resilience of needy families in the Gaza, by providing them with weekly fresh food baskets over a period of 5 weeks during the holy month and Eid.

Ramadan is approaching, yet our people under sieged Gaza Strip is still facing the Corona pandemic that had furthered the already aggravated living conditions for tens of thousands of families.

Beirut today, is a disaster capital city that needs all our solidarity after the tragic explosion that took place in Beirut Port on the evening of August 4th, 2020 resulted in hundreds of casualties, more than five thousand wounded, and hundreds of thousands of people who became homeless. About a quarter of the houses in Beirut are now damaged and several hospitals have become unfit for medical service, while the country experiences a rapid growth of the spread of COVID-19.
Taawon calls upon all its members, friends, partners, governments and donor organizations to donate “In Solidarity with Beirut” campaign in order to restore and rehabilitate the Karantina Governmental Hospital, one of the hospitals and health facilities that were damaged in the explosion.

Contribute to our campaign "Together We Can" and help us distribute vouchers in exchange of food and other household items, protecting some of the poorest families of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and the Palestinian refugees from Syria.

Today, more than ever, our people and country need your help to face the coronavirus pandemic
Poverty, illness, siege, and lack of resources hinder our people’s ability to endure the crisis
Each one of us can help limit the spread of this pandemic and support families as we approach the holy month of Ramadan

Extend a helping hand to refugees and marginalized patients at the East Jerusalem Hospitals

“I dream of becoming a teacher to instill values of patience, faith and strength in future generations” -- Amani, 9-year-old girl from the village of Beit Iksa near Ramallah, West Bank

For the last 3 years, Amani has been suffering from renal failure and is undergoing treatment in the dialysis unit at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem three times a week; the only hospital providing pediatric dialysis medical care in her area. Amani has many aspirations; the largest is to regain her normal life.

Help Amani and other children to continue receiving specialized treatment at the six Jerusalem hospitals.

The recent decision by the Trump administration to cut the United States’ aid to UNRWA operations by $350 million, with an additional cut of $25 million that were earmarked to support the East Jerusalem Hospitals Network, has serious ramifications on the lives and livelihoods of marginalized and refugee Palestinians.

Taawon is launching this appeal to its generous supporters to urgently contribute to supporting the hospitals to enable their continued provision of tertiary medical services to marginalized and uninsured Palestinians, to meet the Israeli re-licensure requirements and to support UNRWA to ensure the continuation of educational services to Palestinian refugees.
Your contribution will be giving a patient in need the gift of healing, health, and well-being.

Together, we will keep the spirit of giving alive!
