Providing University Scholarships for Disadvantaged Palestinian Students in Lebanon

Being member of a big family, five members, in Burj Al Barajne, with her father as the only source of income, in 2010, Rana took the SAT out of her own initiative, studying for it, and passing with scores enabling her to get accepted into AUB. With her dedication and persistence she got a scholarship from Welfare Association, with the generous donation of Mr. Muwahid, Rana is an ambitious person, very dedicated and determined student, her grades were very well and she did her best to pursue progress. She graduated the June 15, with an equivalent GPA 3.21. Also in AUB, she was a member in the Health Sciences Students Society.
Rana ambition didn’t stop here, she got a Master Acceptance, and now she is trying to find a new scholarship to pay for her Master’s tuition. While talking to her, she said: “This experience helped me to shape my personality; I became more social through interacting with new people and new atmosphere, Thank you Mr. Muwahid, thank you Welfare Association for this generous opportunity that has changed my future for better.” “I am grateful for the opportunity you gave me, to be able to study at AUB. Your contribution is helping many Palestinian people become better people in society and have more decent life. Hopefully in the future I will be able to provide the same help to other Palestinian people, just like I received one. I finished my studies and seeking for a decent job, and if I found a foundation I will do a master degree, you helped me to succeed and be a good part of our society, Thank you again”.
