Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, alongside Taawon (Welfare Association), celebrated the conclusion of the "Enhancing Cadre Competencies for Adapting STEM Education in Palestinian Schools" project.

Taawon (Welfare Association), with support from Malala Fund, is implementing a new project to help restore safe and inclusive learning opportunities for children in Gaza at a critical time, as children continue to face severe disruptions to their education, protection, and psychosocial well-being
