The SAT project, in cooperation with Lebanon’s youth program, assists Palestinian youth to continue their studies after completing secondary school.  The project helps students not only attend prestigious Lebanese universities, (like the American University in Beirut and the Lebanese American University), but also study abroad in universities in the United States of America, Qatar and Turkey.

Maya decided to go to university in Turkey, to complete her studies. She wanted to travel to expose herself to different cultures and societies, and to represent Palestine abroad, spreading her nation’s message to new friends and classmates. She was so happy with the experience, saying, “It was the best decision I ever took in my life”.  Maya said the program gave her the opportunity to fulfill her dreams and arm herself with knowledge; it made her a more responsible person, and tangibly increased her independence, self-reliance and self-confidence.
