A 350 m²-sized Theraputic Garden planted with trees in Jerusalem

The idea of the project is based on meeting the needs of those children and families who are undergoing difficult conditions. The preschool of Emelson Women Society works with 140 children aged between newly-born to six years. A great percentage of the beneficial families (about 50%) live in Jerusalem. The fundamental aim of this project is to revive the mutual relation among parents, children and the society, develop the abilities of the children, and create a green space that will attract and provide the people and their children with an outlet in the wake of the confiscation of most of the land belonging to Al-Issawiya and due to the lack for green spaces in the area. In order to achieve intended goals, the project adopts the development of new learning methods through utilizing the environment and living creatures that stimulate children to find out and realize differences among creatures, tastes, shapes, and colors. Children do that thanks to their parents’ assistance to get them involved in tangible active learning and teach them more peaceful and methods under the guidance of an expert who trains both teachers and parents in alternative methods of learning.
