Taawon attends the closing ceremony of the global libraries program in Poland

Dr. Tafeeda Jarbawi, Director General of Taawon, attended a reception organized by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for its Global Libraries Program on 22-24 August, 2017 in Wroclaw, Poland, to celebrate the conclusion of the program. Taawon is proud to be a partner in implementing this program in Palestine and in refugee camps in Lebanon, where the capacity of 65 libraries has been developed to serve as centers for public engagement.

During her visit, Dr. Jarbawi also met with Ms. Stchyra, the Deputy Director of Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw, Poland, and Mr. Chojnacki, the Head of Development Cooperation with the Partner Countries Unit. Dr. Jarbawi presented a brief on the general work of Taawon and updated them on the progress of the youth employment project funded by Polish Aid. Additional venues of cooperation with the Development Cooperation Department were also explored.
