Austrian Ambassador Visits projects implemented by Welfare Association

On Thursday 16 October 2008, the Ambassador of Austria Mr. Michael Rendi, accompanied by a delegation composed of the Commercial Attaché Mr. Christian Laznik and Mr. Nicolas Egger, visited a number of Welfare Association's projects supported by the Austrian Development Agency.

The Austrian delegation visited the Mothers School Society project in Askar refugee camp, Nablus City, and was briefed by the Society's director on the status of the school and the role of the project in advancing the capacity of Palestinian women in the fields of education and health. Next, the delegation visited Ein Al-Beida village in Jordan Valley, where they met with a number of women beneficiaries of the women's economic empowerment project and listened to a detailed presentation on the project.
 
At the end of the visit, Mr. Rendi expressed admiration of the distinguished performance of Welfare Association in supporting outstanding projects targeting the most marginalized areas and social groups in Palestine.
