WA launched the Old City of Jerusalem Revitalization Program in 1995 with primary funding from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development to renovate and restore major Arab historic and residential sites in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Children Sponsorship Program (CSP) was launched by the Welfare Association in May 2009. The program targets Palestinian children attending kindergartens in marginalized areas in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, 1948 areas, and Palestinian communities in Lebanon.
